Stephen Kinnock is the Labour MP for Aberavon, and the Shadow Minister for Immigration.

Prior to becoming the Shadow Minister for Immigration, Stephen was the Shadow Minister for Asia & Pacific, and Shadow Minister for the Armed Forces.

Prior to his election to Parliament in 2015 Stephen worked for the British Council and the World Economic Forum.

During his time at the British Council he was posted to Brussels, Russia (as Director St Petersburg) and Sierra Leone.

At the World Economic Forum he was Director Europe & Central Asia.

He was educated at his local comprehensive school, at the University of Cambridge, and at the College of Europe.

He is the author of two books - A New Nation: Building a United Kingdom of purpose, patriotism and resilience and Spirit of Britain, Purpose of Labour: Building a whole nation politics to reunite our divided country.
