Transitioning to a green economy

The potential benefits of transitioning to a green economy are extensive. For example, adopting renewable energy would reduce dangerous local air pollution and reduce climate-changing emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases. The transition would require coordinated planning and Treasury support. It would form a major part of a UK industrial strategy creating many jobs spread throughout the UK and aiding the growth of companies operating in UK and international markets.
